Happy Monday! Our week was wonderful!
We are on a daily hunt to find an elect family every day. Last Friday was super successful. We met a newly-wed couple who was expecting their first in June. We met her (Tatiane) and invited her to a baptismal service that was held the following morning by the other Ward. When we went to pick her up, we met her husband (Cristian), who wanted to come along too. They loved it. Throughout the week, they've eagerly invited us to make daily contact with them in preparation for their own baptism!
Yesterday afternoon they left a little note taped to their gate thanking us for our help but said they'd prefer to continue on without it. I hate Satan. With a burning passion. You can bet your bottom dollar that we're not going to let him win.
Wednesday we're going on a little road trip with meet with Elder Russell M. Nelson and the Area Presidency. No big deal. So to compensate for lost time working here, we've planned a full day today after lunch.
Thoughts:
"To believe that weaknesses and deficiencies in your character are unchangeable is to reject the central truth of the Plan of Salvation. You are not cast in stone. You not only can change, but you do change all of the time. You are a dynamic, changing, evolving being. You cannot stand still. You are responsible for who you are and you are responsible for who you will become."
Have a great one!
Love, love, love,
Sister Vaughn
