Hello (:
This week we started up our exchanges again. We'd felt pretty strongly that we could better serve our Sisters if we would both go into their area and then the four of us split up and dominate within their area. This week was the test run to see if it was worth leaving our area for, and it worked out so well! It's so much more thorough to train and to follow up. We were able to get a better vision of what they were needing to bless their area and afterwards we had a mini district meeting with them, practicing skills and discussing what was good and what could be better. Success.
We have a little old widow in our area that we just love and have kind of adopted as our grandma for the time being. She had gotten too sick to go to church and never learned to read so we would often visit her to help her out as we could, but this week she passed away. I'm so grateful to know about Heavenly Father's plan for all of His children!
Also, another weird thing happened this week. Culturally in Brazil, women greet other people with a kiss on the cheek. (Great way to start a missionary story.) Anyways, I picked up some lice this week. Haha! (Friendly reminder from health class that they can only live in clean hair. Ok? Ok.) Bought some magical shampoo so it's all good now, but it was an exciting 3 days. (:
This coming week we're going to have an exchange with the Sisters in our zone and we also have our last Muti-Zone Conference with President and Sister Martins before they are released. It's going to be a good one!
Thought from the Pres:
"Happiness comes from living the way the Lord wants you to live." - Thomas S. Monson.
Have a great one!
Love, love, love,
Sister Vaughn
