Welcome to story time with Sister Vaughn. (:
Once upon a time, in a land full, full of spiders, lived two little missionaries. One day, after all their plans had fallen through, they decided to visit someone who lived close top where they ended up. They walked and walked and walked, over the river and through the woods (for real), but soon realized they'd gotten lost and needed to head back to the city.
Mirroring the setting sun, their heads hung low. Had they done any good in the world that day? Had they helped anyone in need? Had they cheered up the sad, or made someone feel glad? They feared they had failed, indeed.
As they made their way into the city, one of the little missionaries passed someone who looked super familiar. "Do we know him?" she asked the other. "I was about to ask you," came the reply.
She took that answer as her one shot to see a miracle that day. She took that answer and ran with it - literally (which the other did not appreciate. haha) dodging the crowd of people, honking cars, psycho dogs, and swerving motorcycles, chasing the guy on a skateboard with headphones in who couldn't hear her.
All of her track training had lead up to this moment. Thankfully she's a Vaughn so she never loses. (And there may have also been a well timed stop light.) The two caught up to the guy with the skateboard (whose name is actually Jeam) who said they'd never met. He said he'd talked to other missionaries who'd taken his address, but never showed up at his house. He said when he woke up that morning he knew today was the day his life was going to change.
And then.....it rained ice cream and they all lived happily ever after.
I'm scared of telling all my stories because I don't know how they're going to end yet. Haha. I feel like everyday we come back to our house with a story like this - where we were in exactly the right place at the right time, or we said exactly what someone had prayed for the day before. It literally blows my mind how wonderfully perfect a day can be even when nothing goes the way you think it will.
Anyways, we're doing well. (:
Ohhhh, I forgot to take pictures this week. Whoops ):
Thought for the day:
Today is the perfect day to be incredibly awesome. (:
Have a terrific week!
Love, love, love,
Sister Vaughn
